To be honest, I had a lot of trouble following this track's rhythm. The drums and the melody don't sync up well, but they ALMOST do, so it's really hard to bob my head to 'cause the kick surprises me. I like each element separately, but combined, I feel that it doesn't work. Maybe try to fine-tune the placement of the drums a little and it'll be a great song. 3/5

Yup, This Is Broke Beat Shit Mang
I Actually Took A Bit Of Time Fine Tuning The Drum Placement To Get It Exactly Like This.

My god, those synths in the drop are gnarsty (gnarly and nasty combined lol). It reminds me of a cyborg clearing its throat or something. Very big sound you have here, it seems like it's playing in a big room. Reminds me of Pink Floyd's "wall of sound" techniques they used a lot. 5/5

"Please don't accidentally my flatulence in asphyxiation"
I laughed SO hard at that when I read it LOL. I don't even know what it means at all.

But the audio, wow, again, so freakin creepy, sounds like it would be in a Slender game or something. I am, however, sad that it only broke out into a full beat for the last 6 seconds. I really liked the build, and you should take it a step further and make it into a whole song. It's really good so far. 5/5

Thank you for the advice, mate.

I could see some very deep lyrics to this, and beautiful chorus also. Very passionate sounding, but not in a corny way, or a physical way. You can just hear emotion running through the whole piece, and that lead whistle just ties it all together perfectly. I gave it 5/5 for its instrumentalvalue, but I'd really love to hear this with vocals. Hope you record some in the future. 5/5

Does seem like you rushed a little making it. Don't get me wrong, it's an excellent base for a song. But I would suggest adding some synths or something overtop this, maybe a funny little (LEGAL) quote, just something to keep it moving and fill in that top-shelf that is currently empty. 4/5

Wow, this SOUNDS like something that would be in Gradius. I've never played it but I meant this sounds like an old-school video game theme, for sure. Very good soloing work on that guitar (or programming if it was all a loop, it sounds real but you can't ever tell), and the bass was splendidly done as well. I kept hoping for a drum transition of some kind somewhere, though, but the drums you have do the job. 4/5

To be honest, it definitely needs some words, 'cause for me the instruments are not complex enough to carry themselves. I really feel that it's a little empty on its own. But it's a very good foundation to lay some vocals on top of, for real. I could hear this as a rap song, a "You Had A Bad Day"-type song with only singing throughout, or any combination of those two. Good start, for sure. 4/5

First thought that popped into my head: Silent Hill 3. Yup. I was honestly a little anxious with the flies and the cockroaches, but then that scary tone came in at like 0:20 and I became thoroughly freaked out. Perfect for a horror movie, seriously. 5/5

Insanctuary responds:

Thank you. I am contemplating on making more like this. I love Silent Hill music. It's so innocent and dreadfully dark and looming at the same time. However, I have this problem where I write music with my imagination and not for listening. So expect a lot of my works to be 'incomplete' in a music sense and 'complete' in an imaginative sense.

Cheers, mate.

I really dig the perfect harmonies mixed directly in with some dissonant, ugly ones, I think it sounds a lot more real than just the same 3 damn chords over and over again. Plus, it adds that human element of error that is, I believe, necessary for it to be "good" music. Also, that lead synth that starts around 1:21 is so cool, how it morphs from that subtle undertone to the ghostly wail afterward. Reminds me of an 8-bit haunted house. I also downloaded this one. 5/5, man you're awesome. I am now officially your fan lol

When this first started, I'll be honest, I had some doubts. It was in like 6/8 but the drums were a little off (hi hats, particularly), and I was having trouble following it. But man, when it broke out in full 4/4 and the synths started doing that downbend at the end of each lick, oh my lord. This song rocks. I downloaded it, I loved it so much lol. 5/5, my friend, keep doing this awesome and I'll be a full fledged fan of yours

I make techno, deathcore, rap, funk, pop, whatever comes to mind. I just love music, and I want to share it with the entire world. I have 5 full-length albums, and am working on the 6th currently. You can hear me on SoundCloud and Reverbnation as well! :D
